— Memorial services for Mary Ethel Jones, 87, of Muskogee will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 17, 2010 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Reverend Ann Brizendine of the First Presbyterian Church officiating.

Mary E. Jones was born July 30, 1923, in Russellville, Arkansas and passed away September 14, 2010 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Mary grew up in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. She attended the University of Arkansas, where she was a member the Delta Gamma sorority. She married David Paul (D.P.) Jones March 4, 1944 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. They moved to Muskogee in 1955. She was a member of The First Presbyterian Church in Muskogee. Mary enjoyed her weekly bridge groups, watching Arkansas Razorbacks play football, and socializing with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Inez Rowland-Odel and Elbert Price VanZandt, Sister Floy Whitthorne, and brother-in-law Sam Whitthorne.

Survivors include her husband, David Paul Jones of Muskogee, OK, four children, Julie Hord of Nashville, TN, Janie Jackson of Norman, OK, David Jr. and Kay Jones of Muskogee, OK, and Joanie and John Paul Thomas of Muskogee, OK.  Grandchildren Phil and Lynn Hord of Dallas, TX, Eric and Melanie Hord of Nashville, TN, Scott and Lyndi Hord of Nashville, TN, Amanda and David Raitte of Houston, TX, Missy Sewell of Dallas, TX, Jason and Brandi Jones of Muskogee, OK, Jeffrey and Jennifer Jones of Muskogee, OK, Jennifer and Zach Coburn of Tulsa, OK, Jared Jones of Muskogee, OK, Alison and Wesley Cox of Tulsa, OK, and Rake McGraw of Oklahoma City, OK, and 15 great-grandchildren.
