Michael Shane Smith

1974 - 2012

— Michael Shane Smith was born on September 24, 1974 in Muskogee, OK and died Wednesday November 14, 2012. Shane attended Muskogee High School and graduated from the University of Oklahoma, where he was active in Kappa Sigma fraternity. He worked a number of years as a pharmaceutical rep., and also owned several businesses. Shane was preceded in death by his stepfather Jim Tackett, his Grandfathers Dewitt Baltzle and Joe B. Smith of Muskogee. He is survived by his mother, Suzan Tackett of Stillwater, father David Smith of Wyoming, brother and sister-in-law Sean and Jill Smith of Joplin, MO and Step brother Jim Tackett of Ft. Smith Ark., Grandmother Lucille Smith of Muskogee. His nephews Hunter and Colton Smith and special cousin Gina Humphries as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends.

Pallbearers will be Steve Ward, Lance Dixon, Matt Ting, Jacob Click, Josh Andrews and Jake Smith. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 19, 2012 at Boulevard Christian Church.  Interment will follow in Greenhill Cemetery.
