Edgar Earnest Woods


— Funeral services for Edgar Earnest “Junior” Woods, 87, of Oktaha, OK, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery with Pastor Larry Montgomery officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Muskogee.

Edgar was born October 6, 1925 at Muskogee, OK, the son Edgar and Ruth (Stone) Woods and died Sunday, June 16, 2013 at Fayetteville, AR. During World War II, Edgar served his country in the U. S. Navy. Along with farming, Edgar enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.

Survivors include his children, Brenda and Harvey Morgan of Muskogee, Mike and Kathy Woods of Muskogee, Doug Woods of Oktaha, Joe and Vicki Woods of Muskogee; two brothers, James and Betty Woods of Checotah, Grady and Fern Woods of Porum; two sisters, Wilma Moore and Wanda Burton both of Oktaha; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Billy Ruth Huff; and brother, Bob Woods.
