Patsy R. Elmore


Patsy R. Elmore, 85 of Muskogee passed away Monday, June 17, 2013. She was born October 3, 1927 in Idabel, OK, the daughter of George Earl and Effie Mae (Leonard) Lewis. Patsy married Lawrence (Larry) E. Elmore October 28, 1950 in Van Buren, Arkansas. She worked for Dept. of Public Welfare in Durant, OK, Beneficial Finance in Muskogee and retired from the V.A. Hospital in Muskogee as a Medical Transcriptionist. Patsy will be remembered by her family and friends as the Proverbial woman who loved God and His Church. She adored her husband and family and enjoyed crossword puzzles.

Patsy was preceded in death by a son, William Earl (Bill) Elmore and a brother Bill Lewis and is survived by her husband, Lawrence of the home; three grandchildren, Mitchell Elmore and wife Cassie of Newalla, OK, Kelli Perry and husband Brad of Albuquerque, NM, and Heather Elmore-Casbarro of West Melbourne, FL; five great-grandchildren, Kye Collins, Logan Elmore, Jacob Elmore, Kostyn Perry and Camryn Perry; and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 21, 2013 at the Westside Church of Christ with Don Readhimer and Frank Morgan officiating. Graveside services will follow at the Ft Gibson National Cemetery at 12:00 noon. The family has entrusted Bradley Family Funeral and Cremation Service with the arrangements.
