Jack Stacy White

1932 - 2013


— Jack Stacy White, 80 year old Wagoner County resident, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, June 19, 2013. He was born in Muskogee General Hospital on Tuesday, November 1, 1932 to Willis D. and Rilla Stacy White. Jack attended school in the Muskogee area. On Friday, September 26, 1952, Jack entered the United States Air Force in Fresno, CA where he served faithfully for 11 years. After receiving his honorable discharge, Jack moved to Yreka, CA where he worked as a heavy equipment operator until he retired. After his retirement, he moved to Oklahoma settling in the Muskogee area where he later lived with his special nephew’s family, Tony and Renee Miller in Okay, OK.

He enjoyed playing poker, shooting guns, spending time with his family and loved listening to the Gaither’s Gospel Music. Jack was very appreciative of the Jack C. Montgomery Veterans Medical Center and the wonderful care he received from the “Green Team”. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

In honoring the life of Jack, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to First Baptist Church 7530 N 37th St. E, Okay, OK 74446.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Ronnie Lee White; brother, Erton “Lee” White and two sisters, Wanda Miller and Glyndyne Elson.

Jack is lovingly survived by his children, Dan White and his wife Valerie of Texas, Stacy O’Hara of Alabama, Michael Ren White of Washington; his sister Loretta Riley Wilson and brother Willis Dale White, both of Texas. Also surviving are grandchildren, great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, other nephews, extended family and a life time of friends.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at the Ft. Gibson National Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Air Force Funeral Honor Guard. Jack’s ashes will be placed into the Columbarium under the personal direction of John Garrett.
