Elizabeth ‘Carol’ Jackson

1938-2014

Elizabeth ‘Carol’ Jackson, 75, passed away Monday evening, February 10, 2014. A lifetime resident of Muskogee, Carol was born July 6, 1938, to Donald Edward and Mary Elizabeth (Wood) Wiegand. She grew up and attended Muskogee Public Schools, including Muskogee Central High School.

Carol, a homemaker by choice and mother of three, enjoyed spending time with her family. Her family kindly remembers how she was especially fond of her grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved to spend time with them. Her hobbies included cooking and gardening, she especially enjoyed working in her flower gardens. Carol was of the Methodist faith.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Donna Gayle Elsey; and by her son, Kevin Jay Jackson, who passed away in 1974.

She is survived by her son, Shawn Jackson and his wife, Teresa of Muskogee; her daughter, Lisa Boyd and her husband Vern of Fort Smith, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Kathy Jackson, Erica Jackson and Heather Jackson all of Muskogee, Natalie Turman of Sallisaw, OK, Dillon Turman of Tahlequah, OK, Cheyenne Turman of Sallisaw, OK; her great grandchildren, Brandon Redburn, Rowty Redburn, Maddison Turman, Karma Patton and Maddox Turman all of Sallisaw, OK; her brother, David Wiegand of Tulsa, Oklahoma and many other members of the family.

Funeral services for Carol will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tom Shelton officiating. Interment will follow in Greenhill Cemetery.

Funeral services are under the direction of Cornerstone Funeral Home, 1830 North York Street, Muskogee, Oklahoma. Condolences may be made to the family online at www.cornerstoneofmuskogee.com.
