W. T. Lewis

1954 - 2013

Funeral services for W. T. Lewis, 59, of Muskogee, OK, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 17, 2013 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery with Chaplain Forrest Kirk officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Bud Morgan, Nick Morgan, Forrest Dobbs Jr., Johnny Dobbs, Brian Rushing, James Lewis, and William Lewis. Burial will be under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Muskogee.

W. T. was born June 10, 1954 at Muskogee, OK, the son of W. T. Lewis Sr., and Mary (Rhodes) Lewis, raised by his foster parents, Gene and Eva Warner, and died Thursday, June 13, 2013 in Tulsa, OK. He served his country in the U. S. Air Force. W. T. worked as a cab driver and dispatcher. He was a member of the Chandler Road Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Judy, of the home; children, Jennie Rushing, April Lewis, James Lewis, and William Lewis; step-daughter, Carissa; brothers, Bruce Lewis and wife, Carol, Frank Lewis and wife, Renee, David Lewis; sisters, Mary (Lewis) Dillon, Christina (Lewis) Almand; step-sister, Betty Ford; seven grandchildren, Reznor, Searenitie, Lyric, Brian, Mercedes, Jennifer, and Karrie; great-grandson, Zane; and host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded death by his son, Austin Lewis; and sister, Stella (Lewis) Dugan.
