Roy Fisher Jr.


Roy H. Fisher Jr., 81, formerly of Muskogee, OK, and a graduate of the 1950 class of Muskogee Central High School and a retired Engineering Draftsman for Boeing Wichita, avid fisherman, deer hunter, and one of the few individuals that loved not just one, but both Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University Athletics, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014. Visitation hours will be from 1-8 pm, Sunday, April 27, at Broadway Mortuary with family present from 2-4 pm. Funeral Services, 10:30 am, Monday, April 28, College Hill United Methodist Church, 2930 E. 1st St. N.

Roy is preceded in death by his parents, Roy, Sr. and Bertha Fisher and brother, Phillip Ray Fisher. Survivors include his wife, Joan Fisher; son, Roy H. Fisher III (Buddy); daughters, Sheliah F. Payne of Choctaw, OK, Rita A. Nichols, and Wanda J. Fisher; siblings, Sue Kelly of San Jose, CA, Thelma Strickland and Bobby Fisher of Muskogee, OK, and Irene Meschberger of Plano, TX; grandchildren, Stephanie Thompson, Keith “Keeter” Payne, Jr., James and Rebecca Nichols; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Rowland, Raylee O’Donnell, Harley-Belle Reid, and Tanner Thompson. Memorials to: College Hill U.M.C.
