Emma Lucille Gill Jones passed away Thursday, January 10, 2013, at her home with her family by her side. She was born on September 30, 1924, in Norman, Oklahoma to Ralph and Myrtle (Bates) Gill. She was the oldest of three children. Lucille lived in Norman and in the Oklahoma City area before moving with her family to Westville, Oklahoma where she attended school. She met and married the love of her life, Richard L. Jones, on January 14, 1947 in Westville. They moved to Montana where Richard worked in the oilfield and later returned to Oklahoma. Lucille and Richard had two daughters DeAnna and Dorothy.
She was a beautician and had a beauty shop in her home for several years. She worked for Lazenby City Paint and the Department of Human Services, from where she retired. Lucille was a member of the OKLAHOMA LAMDA MASTER CHAPTER BETA SIGMA PHI for over 50 years and was still a member at the time of her death. In 1968, she was chapter sweetheart. Her husband, Richard was an active member of the Bedouin Shrine and Lucille was involved in many of the functions with him.
She was a loving mother, MiMi, great-grandmother and aunt. Lucille was known as MiMi to all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an OU Sooner fan and looked forward to the ballgames on Saturdays. She talked much about her childhood days and would tell us story after story about growing up in Norman and Oklahoma City. MiMi was a special grandmother to all of us grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Lucille was a member of Boulevard Christian Church.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard; her brother, Don Gill; her sister, Betty Gill Dunn and her son-in-law, Gary Lloyd.
She is survived by her two daughters, DeAnna Lloyd and Dorothy Yadon and husband Charles of Muskogee, Oklahoma; grandson, John Tackett of Muskogee; two granddaughters, Mary Kay McQueen and husband Rick and Mindi Havens and husband Laurel, all of Muskogee; great -grandchildren, Lyndi McQueen Griffith and husband Clete of Edmond, Oklahoma, Katie McQueen of Edmond, Oklahoma, Steven Tackett of Webb City, Missouri, Lauren Havens, Trae Havens and Rhett Tackett, all of Muskogee; a special niece, Donna Covey and husband Victor of Westville, Oklahoma; brother-in-law, Joel Jones and wife Ruby of Claremore, Oklahoma and special friend, Alberta Redeagle of Muskogee.
The family would like extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff of Hometown Hospice for the care given to Lucille.

Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Fosters’ Ivory Chapel with Rev. Kelly Payne officiating.
