Jeanette Hawkins

1931 - 2013

Jeanette Hawkins, wife of Billy D. Hawkins, long-time resident of Muskogee, Oklahoma, left this earth on May 7, 2013.  She was born on October 11, 1931 in Chillicothe, Texas.  Jeanette attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.  She was athletic and taught Physical Education in Quanah, Texas where she met Billy.

Jeanette is survived by her husband, Billy; daughters, Cindy Davis and husband, Nathan, Diane Wilson and husband, Buddy; son, William Hawkins and wife, Rebecca; grandchildren, Patrick, Jeremy, Andrew, Benjamin, Rusty and wife, Erica, Joshua, and Jessica; her brother, Charles Volney Hill; her sister, Marilyn Fisher; other beloved family members and friends; her beloved pets, Bette and Sissy.

Jeanette was loved by many and will truly be missed.

Jeanette was an animal lover and was an avid support of Coins for Critters and P.A.W.S.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to either organization.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Jeanette will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Shelton officiating.  

Funeral services are under the direction of Cornerstone Funeral Home and Crematory, 1830 N. York Street, Muskogee, Oklahoma.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.cornerstoneofmuskogee.com
