Bobby G. Beck

1939-2013

— Bobby G. Beck of Haskell was born in Wagoner, Oklahoma on May 7, 1939 to Jay and Pauline [Phillips] Beck. Because his Mother was ill  he was raised by his Aunt Eva [Beck] and Sanford Shewbart. Bobby died July 23, 2013 at the age of 74.

He attended all of his school years in Wagoner and Graduated in 1957. He joined the National Guard at the age of 17 and retired in 1997 after 37 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Jim Beck, two grandsons Joseph Beck and Dustin Deckard.

Bobby leaves behind his wife Ann of 56 years and five children Robert Beck and wife Kollie, Janet Thornburg and husband Bob, Sherrill Ballard and fiancé Ed Kelley, Renee Gardner and husband Wayne, and Debbie Wheeler, seventeen grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, brothers Don Beck and wife Minnie of Collinsville and Sam Beck and wife Robbie of Spavinaw and special Brother Blain Davis and sister Sandra Wiley. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Hersman-Nichols Funeral Home in Wagoner, from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M.

Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, July 26, 2013 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Hersman-Nichols Funeral, Wagoner, Oklahoma.
