Wilma Lillie Ritchie-Anderson was born on June 22nd, 1923 in Manard, OK, the daughter of Carl and Liddie (Tutt) McClure. She attended school in Manard, OK. On December 22nd, 1940, she began her wedded life with her husband, Clifford Anderson Ritchie. This union was blessed with 5 sons and 5 daughters. Wilma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend Whenever she wasn’t chasing her children around the farm, she could be found raising chickens, and canning a large volume of fruits and vegetables. She was gifted artistically and loved to paint ceramics and hand sew quilts for her children. She was an excellent cook and made great chicken, biscuits, and cornbread, always accompanied with a slice of fresh onion. Clifford passed in 1977 and Wilma would marry later in 1989, Joe Anderson, a marriage that lasted until his passing in 2006.

Wilma had a wonderful smile that showed off her sense of humor and the mischievous streak that accompanied it! She had the biggest smile when surrounded by her children and grandchildren, with a baby on her knee. She was so very proud of her family for all their accomplishment and for all the love they shared. A Christian by faith, Wilma was Southern Baptist and attended Crescent Valley Baptist Church. She lived by herself on the family farm until her health made it necessary to relocate to Muskogee. The Lord called his hard working and kind hearted servant home on July 25th, 2013 in Tahlequah, OK with her loving family at her side. She was 90 years old. She will be missed by all those she loving called family and friends.
