1922 - 2013

— Funeral services for Juanita “Jean” Myers, 91, of Muskogee, OK, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, July 29, 2013 at Church Central with Reverend Guy Parrish and Pastor David Savage officiating. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Muskogee.

Juanita was born June 22, 1922 at Boynton, OK, the daughter of John and Maud (Crabb) Brantley and died Tuesday, July 23, 2013 in Muskogee. Jean was a homemaker and charter member of Central Assembly of God in Muskogee.

Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Lawrence Bowden of Boynton, James and Mary Bowden of Modesto, CA, Bonnie and Wayne Phillips of Muskogee, Joe and Mary Bowden of Fort Gibson, Bobby Wayne Bowden of Duncan, OK, Virginia and David Savage of Senatobia, MS, Fantley and Georgetta Killebrew of Muskogee, Jim and Yolanda Killebrew of Lincoln, IL, Jan and Pete Bowen of Bournville, England. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harrell Luther Myers; son, Harrell; nephew, Melvin Bowden; niece, Betty Mills; sisters and brothers.

Jean had relatives on her husband’s side living in Arkansas. She was preceded in death by four brothers-in-law, Luther Roy of Lincoln, AR, Elmer Myers of Springdale, AR, Noah Pitts of Siloam Springs, AR, and J. T. Bradley of Lincoln, AR; two sisters-in-law, Pearl Bradley of Lincoln and Nellie Pitts of Siloam Springs, AR. Jean is survived by a brother-in-law and wife, James and Wilma Myers of Springdale, AR; sister-in-law, Dolly Myers of Springdale, AR; and a sister-in-law and beloved friend, Marie Roy of Lincoln, AR. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews in the Northwest Arkansas area.

The family would like to thank Magnolia Gardens and River Cross Hospice for their compassionate care.
