They were then sent to Lapel, Indiana in 1956, where Richard was Plant Manager for Brockway. They were members of Edgewood Country Club, Anderson, Indiana, where they were active golfers. ‘B’ was also a member of the Service League of Anderson, Indiana. They moved back to Muskogee in 1966 when Richard became Regional Manager for Brockway Glass Co. ‘B’ was active in Grace Episcopal Church, and one time Director of the Altar Guild, Person to Person Prayer Group, and Women of Grace. In 1974 ‘B’ and Richard gave their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ, and attended Abundant Life Fellowship, Pastor Bob Gladd. Later she also attended First Assembly of God, Muskogee. ‘B’ was a member of the Salvation Army Auxiliary, did volunteer work at the V.A. Hospital, volunteered with Eastern Oklahoma Hospice Society, Meals on Wheels, and Community Pantry. She and Richard were members of the Muskogee Country Club for many years where they were avid golfers. ‘B’ thoroughly enjoyed playing Bridge with her friends several times a week for many years.
Her husband, Richard D. Carlton, died September 9, 2000. ‘B’ is survived by her four daughters: Keithe Carlton Taylor, and husband Charles E. from Florida, Suzie Carlton Buck, and husband Wayne from Muskogee, Kitty Carlton Allain from Tulsa, and Candy Carlton Walker and husband Rick from Muskogee.
‘B’ leaves a legacy of love and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ to her 11 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren who all affectionately called her ‘BeBe”.
