Alice Haggard Jones

1935-2013

Alice Haggard Jones, 78, of Russellville, formerly of Conway, died Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at her home.

She was born June 4, 1935, at Council Hill, Oklahoma to Charles “Pat” and Elizabeth "Bessie" Ellen Mize Haggard.  She worked for Wal-Mart in Conway for 25 years and enjoyed cooking, drawing and spending time with her family.   She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Raymond R. Haggard and a nephew, Joe Charles Haggard.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl A. and Greg Stapf of Pottsville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert M. and Teri Jones of Pottsville and Jim C. and Dawn Jones of Cabot; five grandchildren, Michael H. Jones of Conway, James Jones of Wooster, Ray Jones of Wooster, Ashley Stapf of Pottsville and Austin Jones of Pottsville; two great-grandchildren, Jenna Jewel Jones and Jayna Jones, both of Wooster; and a sister, Ada Deering of Cushing, Oklahoma.     

The funeral will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2013, at Humphrey Chapel.  The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. Friday until service time at the chapel.  The graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 7th, at Council Hill Cemetery in Muskogee County, Oklahoma by Humphrey Funeral Service.
