Clarence E. Goad of Okay, Oklahoma, age 73 passed this life on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma on July 11, 1939 to John and Flossie (Smith) Goad. He married Mary Lee (Monholland) Goad on November 5th, 1971 in Muskogee.
He was employed by OG&E Power Plant for 15 years as a control operator. He also enjoyed wood working and was a master shade tree mechanic and carpenter. Clarence loved caring for his lawn, he knew his lawn like the back of his hand. He was a wonderful brother, husband, father and grandpa.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, two brothers; Gene Kerns and Kenneth Goad and three sisters; Florene Ashby, Betty Phillips and Wanda Brewer.
He is survived by his loving wife Mary of the home, two sons Wayne Goad and his wife Rebecca of Haskell and Dewayne Goad and his wife Jeniffer of Okay, Oklahoma, two daughters; Teresa Moore and her husband Kindel of Muskogee and Debbie Underwood of Okay, Oklahoma. Three brothers; Bill Goad and his wife Jean and Donald Goad and his wife Marilyn all of Muskogee and Bobby Goad and his wife Sandy of New Mexico. Three sisters Corine Hutson and her husband Earl of Muskogee, Juanita Ferguson of Texas and Joyce Davis of Muskogee, Oklahoma, seven grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, October 25th, 2012 at the New Hope Baptist Church in Muskogee with Brother Steven Alexander officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenhill Cemetery, under the direction of Shipman’s Muskogee Cremation & Funeral Service.
