Jane Lewis

1946-2013

Jane Ann Lewis was born on June 15, 1946 to the loving parents of Joe and Kathryn Hill in Boynton, Oklahoma.

Jane joined Cane Creek Baptist Church at an early age. She had a happy childhood, attending Boynton School in Boynton, Okla. and furthered her education at Okmulgee Tech where she mastered Culinary Arts. She was crowned “Ms. Culinary Arts.”

In her professional career she held many jobs as a culinary arts specialist.

She resided at East Gate Health Center before her journey with the Lord on September 26, 2013 at the age of 67.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Leonard Hill.

 Jane was a devoted Christian mother and she loved to bake. She treated everyone with kindness and a smile.

 She leaves to cherish her memory: three children, Keith Shipp [Natalie], Atlanta, GA, Steven Shipp[Sylvia], San Diego, CA, Charles Jr. Lewis, Denver, CO; four sisters, Barbara Gladney [Charles], Muskogee, OK, Evelyn Matheney [Jot], Denver, CO, Patricia Waites [Clayton], Lancaster, TX, Darlene Gibson [John], Dallas, TX; three brothers, Wayne Hill [Susie], Memphis, TN, Melton Hill [Sharon], Clinton, MD, Frank Hill [Phyllis], Muskogee, OK; nine grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

 The Hour of Remembrance will be shared on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. in the Rayfield Baptist Church. Rev. Leroy Walker, Srl, is the gracious host Pastor and, Reverend Don Dumas, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Cane Creek Cemetery at Boynton, Oklahoma.
