Elizabeth Parks Kirk

Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Parks Kirk, 79, of Ohatchee will be 2:00 PM Monday, October 21, 2013 at Miller Funeral Home in Oxford, Alabama with Pastor Skip Snelling officiating. Burial will follow at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to service on Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Kirk passed away Thursday, October 17, 2013 at her residence.

Survivors include sons, Jimmie Young (Kathy), John Young, daughter and caregiver, Elizabeth “Crickett” Stevens (James), daughter, Lisa R. Moody, sister, Deloris S. Williams (Rodger), grandchildren, Debra Higginbotham, Shane Mosley, Darrell Moody (Krystal), Brittania Moody, great-grandchildren, Rhiana, Anthony, Jacob, and Lelan Higginbotham, Daniel Martin, Ryah and Geneva Moody, step-children, Steve, Pam, Donna, Carol, Deborah, Judy, Sharron and their families.

Mrs. Kirk was born in Oklahoma and a resident of Ohatchee for the last 35 years. She was formerly of Siloam Springs, AR, and Muskogee, OK and was preceded in death by her parents, Lora Duncan and L.C. Richardson and siblings, Margrett, Preston, Don and Lois Richardson, children, Kenton (Cathy) Green, and Robin (Bobby) Green. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
