Dr. Raymond Scott Brown


Dr. Raymond Scott Brown was a very caring physician. He enjoyed getting to know his patients and provided quality care. The Morehouse Man and Meharry Medical School graduate is a native of Cleveland, Ohio and the son of the late Judge & Mrs. Lloyd O. Brown Sr. Dr. Brown completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at SUMA hospital in Akron, Ohio and nephrology fellowship at Case Western Reserve University, in Cleveland. He began his career at the Grand Street Medical Associates group in Kinston, New York and later worked at the V.A. Hospital in Fayetteville, Arkansas and Muskogee, Oklahoma. Most recently he practiced with CCOM. Dr. Brown enjoyed taking time with his patients and helping others. He invested in his community through many organizatons including Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., Life member of Morehouse Medical College Alumni Association, NAACP, Urban League, American Medical Association, and National Medical Association. He is survived by Lloyd O. Brown, Leslie Brown Vincent, Yvonne Patrick and a host of other family and friends.

Memorial Services for Dr. Brown will be held on Tuesday, October 29th, 2013, 6:00 PM at Harvest Ministries. Services are under the direction of Ragsdale Funeral Center.
