George J. Schichtle

1933-2013


— George J. Schichtle, 80, of Haskell, Oklahoma passed away Monday, November 11, 2013 in Muskogee.  He was born February 2, 1933 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to George Jacob Schichtle and Wilhelmena Dum Schichtle.  George attended schools in Tulsa where he graduated.  He married Doris Elaine Halsey on October 5, 1968 in Tampa, FL. They celebrated 45 years of marriage.

George was a cattle rancher and enjoyed the farm life.  He spent his adult life raising his family and pursuing his hobbies of RCM model airplanes and G-scale trains.  

George was preceded in death by his parents, George and Minnie; sister, Margie Spaeth; and nephew, Rick Greaney.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine, of the home; children, Jennifer Bolding and husband, Chuck of Haskell, George Schichtle and wife, Amanda of Tulsa, Gregory Schichtle and wife, Shelley of Haskell, Brenda Geiger and husband, Glenn of Muskogee, Lori Roa and husband, Hernando of Tampa, FL, Traci LaRussa of Tampa, FL, Ana LaRussa of Bradenton, FL; grandchildren, Sammantha Bolding, Eva Nicole Bolding, Josie Bolding, Gracie Bolding, all of Haskell, Tatum Schichtle, Presley Schichtle, both of Tulsa, Jacob Schichtle, Faythe Schichtle, Joseph Schichtle, all of Haskell, Robert Hankins of Aurora, CO, Leslie Oyler and husband, Jimmy, Jay Geiger and wife, Amanda, all of Tulsa, Jon Geiger of Muskogee, Aimee O’Neil and husband, Shane, Sarah Roa, Jared Roa, Shelby LaRussa Greenham of Tampa, FL; great grandchildren, Emma Oyler, twins, Mike & Max Oyler, Levi Oyler, Abby Geiger, Emily Geiger, and Colin Geiger; other family members and friends.

Funeral services for George will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Calvary Cemetery Chapel in Tulsa with Father Mike Knipe celebrant.  Pallbearers will be George Schichtle, Gregory Schichtle, Chuck Bolding, and Jacob Schichtle.
