Clem West

1918 - 2013

— Clem West was born in Briartown, OK, on October 8, 1918 the son of Richard Dick West and Sarah Arvella (Love) West and died Wednesday, May 1, 2013 in Muskogee at Jack C. Montgomery Veterans Administration Medical Center. Clem was a World War II vet, retired truck driver, 32nd Degree Mason, life member of the D.A.V., life member of the American Legion, and Amvets. Clem married Ruby (Stevens) Oliver on July 2, 1979 at Forsyth, MO.

Clem is survived by his wife, Ruby West of the home; son, Jim Oliver and wife, Ruth, of Gore; daughter-in-law, Yvonne Huff of Gore; five grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by son, Calvin Huff; parents; three brothers, Jack, Frank, and Mitchell; and one sister, Lucy.

Funeral services for Clem will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, May 3, 2013 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, OK, with Reverend Wendell Cox officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls.
