Lester was lovingly known as "L.J." during his life and grew up in Muskogee. He attended the Muskogee Public School System and graduated from Muskogee High School in May of 2006.

“L.J.” furthered his education at Langston University in Langston, Oklahoma, where he was active in the School of Business and received his Bachelor of Science in Management in May of 2013. “L.J.” was a member of the Dean’s Honor Roll, Langston University “Warriors for Christ,” the Ambassadors Program, and Student Affairs, along with other organizations while at Langston.

As “L.J.” transformed into a young adult, he became active with Integrity’s Voice of Victory Church located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and participated in IVVC's Lifeline Ministry Young Adult.

“L.J.” was a young man full of wisdom, who in many ways, profoundly enhanced and blessed the lives of those that graced his presence. Whether with a smile, a big bear hug, a joke or words of wisdom, there was no denying he touched your life and brought great joy. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten and know we celebrate “L.J.'s” life.
