Jack Lee Butler

1924 – 2013

— Jack Lee Butler, 88, formerly of Muskogee, died Saturday, March 23, 2013 at his home in Oklahoma City.  He was born June 12, 1924 in Avant, Oklahoma to Don Q. and Gertie Mae (Mose) Butler.

Jack retired as a supervisor from Muskogee Assemblers. He was a member of Trinity Church of the Nazarene

Jack was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Thelma Gauntt, Viva Hardin and Wilma Marlow and two brothers, Don Butler and J.F. Butler.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Geraldine of Oklahoma City; daughter and son-in-law, Kaye and Jim Pitman of Oklahoma City; granddaughters, Dina Kelly and her husband, Gerad, of Norman and Leah Owen and her husband, Bret, of Choctaw; grandson, Jimmy Pitman and his wife, Anastasia, and their children, Lydia Pitman and Jim Pitman, III all of Oklahoma City; six great-grandchildren, Lauren, Blake and Brendan Owen of Choctaw and Katie Kelly of Norman, two brothers, Charles Ed Butler and Mickey Butler both of Muskogee; special friends, Oren and Delphia Sikes and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at First Church of the Nazarene in Muskogee with Rev. Duane Snavely officiating.  Interment will follow in Greenhill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Pitman, Bret Owen, Gerad Kelly, Jeremy Oman, Don Scott and Rick Carbone.

Funeral service arrangements are under the direction of Foster-Petering Funeral Home.  Condolences to the family may be made at
