Gail Roberts


Gail Roberts, 75, longtime resident of Muskogee, passed away Friday surrounded by her family.  Gail was born December 27, 1937 to Raymond and Joe Anna Howe in Henryetta, Oklahoma.  She attended schools in Okmulgee and graduated from high school.  After high school, she attended college before beginning her career at Brockway Glass Company, from which she retired in 1998.  Gail also worked with Griffin Food Company and the 7/11 Corporation, working in the accounting department.  

On April 8, 1996, Gail married Richard Ray Roberts in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.  They celebrated over 17 years of marriage.  Gail’s hobbies included crossword puzzles, reading and travelling.

Gail is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Clyde Howe; her sisters, Jane Hunter, Mary R. Jones and Katherine Lawrence.

Gail is survived by her husband, Richard Ray of the home; her sons, William Scott Beck and his wife, Lana of Eureka, California, Jack M. Beck of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her daughter, Carol L. O’Dell and husband, Michael of Muskogee; her grandson, Joshua M. O’Dell of Muskogee; her granddaughter, Holly Jo Beck of Clovis, California; her step-daughters, Sharon Davis and children, Alissa Curtain, Lara Stitt and Jessica Cherry,  and  Lisa Butts and husband Jim with their children Stephanie Ellis, Joshua and Hannah Butts; her brothers, Raymond Howe of Fort Worth, Texas and Claude E. Howe and wife, Anita of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

Funeral Services for Gail will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Timothy Baptist Church with Reverend Kelly Payne officiating.    Interment will follow at 12:00 p.m. at Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
