Michael Warren Crain Sr., 58, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2013. He was born January 3, 1955 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Warren Lee Crain and Laura Mae Tidwell Crain. Mike attended grade school at Longfellow, West High Junior High and Muskogee High School. He met and later married Jean Ann Hale on June 12, 1981 in Muskogee. They celebrated 32 years of marriage.
Mike worked as a heavy equipment operator for the City of Muskogee Water Department and worked for Wagoner Water Works from which he retired. He enjoyed bowling, playing pool, cooking, shooting, hunting and fishing. Mike was a member of the NRA and Oldham Memorial Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his baby sister; and granddaughter, Kierra Crain.
Mike is survived by his wife, Jean, of the home; sons, Clayton Crain of Muskogee, Michael W. Crain, Jr. of Jay, Oklahoma; daughter, Kendy Cotten and husband, Dan of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; granddaughters, Kaylie Cotten and Taylor Crain; grandsons, Austyn Crain, Colton Chace Crain, Jachin Crain, and Caydon Crain; other family members and friends.
Funeral services for Michael will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 7, 2013 at Cornerstone Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bob Shoemake officiating. Interment will follow at Agnew Cemetery with Mike Plunkett, Rob Tidwell, Bobby Tidwell, Gary Ashwood, Senator Earl Garrison, and James Blankenship serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Austyn Crain, Colton Chace Crain, Junior Blankenship, Larry Garrison, Rick Tidwell and Dewayne Curtis.
A memorial fund has been established for the family at BancFirst in Muskogee on Michael’s behalf.
