Danny was raised on the east end of Downing street with the family business, a grocery store. His education began at Bagley school then attending Tahlequah school before finishing his formal education in Stilwell.

He has won numerous races and championships at Thunderbird Speedway in Muskogee, Crawford County, Razorback Speedway, and Enid Speedway; or anywhere there was a race.
Danny was considered one of the best drivers to hit the track. His racing career lasted nearly two decades where he made many lifelong friendships. After racing he spent his time building and restoring hot rods and classic cars with the help of his shop family.
He enjoyed reminiscing with family and friends about racing and childhood days. He loved to help new young drivers with their skills. Danny loved hard work and hard play. Loved getting up in the morning to start his day at the muffler and tire shop.
