Owen Odell

1936-2013

Owen Odell, 77, of Van Buren, died Sunday September 8, 2013 in Fort Smith.  He was born February 11, 1936 in Hulbert, OK to the late Grady Lee and Emma Odell.  He was a retired general contractor.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Odell.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Margaret Odell of the home; his children, Victoria of Broken Arrow, and Michael of Van Buren; two brothers, Steven and Jim Odell of Hulbert; and four grandchildren.

Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel.  Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org, St. Jude Children’s Hospital at www.stjude.org, Arkansas Children’s Hospital at www.archildrens.org, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
