Lillie Mae “Penny” Moss

1930 - 2011

Lillie May “Penny” Moss, 80, of Muskogee, OK, passed onto her heavenly home on Thursday, February 3, 2011. She was born in Muskogee, OK, on April 9,1930 to Charlie and Margie Shahan. She married Emil Moss on December 24, 1946. Penny worked for Brockway Glass Company for 35 years. She loved fishing, swimming, skiing and gardening. She raised her two daughters here in Muskogee.

Penny was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Emil Moss; brother, Harold Shahan; three sisters, Alice Crittenden, Dorthy Houston and Faye Gorbet. Penny is survived by two daughters, Sue Gerdes and husband, Bob, of Muskogee, Pat Guinn and husband, Johnny; three sisters, Ruby Cavins of Las Vegas, NV, Louise Barkley and husband, Red, of Kansas, Betty Cloud and husband, Tom, of Las Vegas; brother, Lee Shahan and wife, Cherry; three grandchildren, Janell Cochran, Steven Guinn, Robert

Gerdes; and two great-grandchildren, Jordan Cochran and Riley Cochran. Penny also enjoyed spending time with her two neighbors, Jo Ann Janway and Mildred Harrison.

Memorial services for Lillie Moss will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Muskogee with Reverend Donnie Echols officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home in Muskogee.
