Ola Nadine Hood

1937 - 2013

Ola Nadine Hood was born in St John’s Hospital on June 22nd, 1937 and was promoted to glory in the same St John’s Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma on January 2nd, 2013 at 75 yrs of age.  Preceded in death by her mother, Alpha Garrett and her father Theodore Gregory.  She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 58 yrs, Rev. Glen T. Hood.  Also, she leaves behind 1 daughter, Glenda Wadsworth and her husband, Alan.  Three sons, Randy and his wife Jan, Arthur and his wife Pearline, and Wesley and his wife Marsha complete the list of adoring children who loved her dearly.  Nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews rounded out the full life of love she shared with all who knew her.  Not a single person disliked Nadine and her last days were spent with an innumerable amount of people coming by to see her in the hospital relating story after story of how Nadine was so well loved by all who knew her and were touched by her life.  She never awoke from her open heart surgery and was ushered into the presence of her beloved Saviour and best friend, Jesus.  Her earnest desire was always for everyone she met to instantly introduce them to Jesus.  Nadine spent the majority of her life working tirelessly beside her husband Glen for nearly 50 yrs reaching people for Christ and His Kingdom.  Such a loving and caring person, she volunteered also at various ministries such as Christ For Humanity helping people with their physical and spiritual needs.  Only heaven can measure the impact she has had on so many people in her lifetime.  We are all so deeply blessed for having known her.  

Services will be held at Lawnwood Free Will Baptist Church at 4115 W. Edison in Tulsa at 10 am on Monday, January 7th, 2013.  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Christ For Humanity.  Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery at Admiral and Yale in Tulsa. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Sapulpa, OK.
