Alan Dwayne Sloan

1974 - 2013

— Funeral services for Alan Dwayne Sloan, 39, of Grove, OK, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Joshua Heillig officiating. Pallbearers will be Mark Ayers, Quinton Ayers, Perry Ayers, Cody Sloan, Steve Brewer, Dwight Cook, Ivan Hardesty, and James Slavens. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery.

Alan was born January 1, 1974 at Stillwater, OK, the son of Teddy and Teresa Jane (Hart) Sloan and died Sunday, February 10, 2013 at his home in Grove. Alan worked as a self-employed diesel mechanic. He loved to hunt and fish and was a member of the Assembly of God in Fairland, OK.

Survivors include his father, Teddy Sloan and step-mother, Alma, of Muskogee; mother, Teresa Sweetland and step-father, Steve, of Denton, TX; four children, Kane Brown of Muskogee, Chance Sloan of Fairland, Cameron Sloan and Tierany Sloan both of Cassville, MO; three grandchildren; one brother, James Sloan and wife, Carol, of Houston, TX; one sister, Karen Sloan of Muskogee; one step-brother, Earnest Shade of Kansas; two step-sisters, Toni Shade of Muskogee, Chastity Ayers and husband, Mark, of Webbers Falls; half-brother, Josh Bays of Denton, TX; grandparents, Elbert and Mildred Hart of Stillwater; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Alan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marion and Carmey Sloan.
