Published May 07, 2008 05:08 pm - THE PEOPLE SPEAK: Terror war has ended, if gays more dangerous I would like to take this opportunity to thank Rep. Sally Kern for giving me some peace. If I need to worry more about my gay neighbors than terrorists, then I say we’ve won the War on Terror and should stop the war immediately so we can focus on protecting our children from the “gay agenda.”
I also want to say I am quite relieved that our representatives and their “thousands of supporters” are more concerned with religion than state business. Maybe we can send them to theological school and vote for someone more concerned with our roads, our schools and our state image. I also like the way she compared religion to drug users and prostitutes. Now there’s some religion I can get behind. I would like to ask Kern if she believes so much in the Old Testament “word of God,” does she also support slavery? And when does this woman come up for re-election? I would really like to support her opposition. Judy A. Ramsey Collinsville
