Summer meal programs help children

For many children in the Muskogee Public Schools district the best meal of the day comes at school.

While school is out for the summer, many of those children are not receiving enough food.

Free summer meal programs throughout the area are a godsend to many of these children.

The programs will help students throughout as much of the summer as possible.

The MPS program is two weeks longer this summer than last.

That’s a tremendous thing for our children.

They need the nutrition.

We appreciate all those involved in area programs — too many to mention here.
