MUSKOGEE HIGH School Student Council would like to thank the following businesses and people for their donations and/or time for our 2012 Rougher Homecoming and Spirit Week: Linden Loft Pizza, I’m a Basket Case, Economy Pharmacy-west, My Place BBQ-east, Candy Craze, Wendy’s, Corporate to Casual, and Kathy Rigney.
Thank you also to the teachers, support staff, and students of Muskogee High School for making this one of the most spirited homecoming weeks in many years.
OKAY SENIOR Center community members and board want to thank all those who gave time, money and services to help make our Bean Dinner Benefit on Aug. 24 a great success. The Senior Center made $2,161 that evening and everyone had a wonderful time. Your generosity helps us keep our doors open and we are very grateful.
A special thank you to our wonderful volunteers who spent hours passing out flyers door to door, auctioneering, gathering donations from businesses, donating food, cooking and cleaning. They are the heart of our non-profit organization.
Businesses that donated were: Muskogee Lowe’s, Wagoner and Muskogee Charlie’s Chicken, Wagoner Flower Shop, Sonic Drive-In on North York, Marvin’s IGA, and Chilango’s on 32nd Street in Muskogee, Martin’s Restaurant in Okay, and Dr. Robbie Evans Chiropractor (Muskogee). Anew Direction-the band and special friends of the Okay Senior Center.
Thank you again, from all of us at the Okay Senior Center.
A SPECIAL THANK you to the Muskogee Phoenix and reporter Dewayne Smoot for all the news stories you cover for the city and our community. Your reporting has helped our city leaders to do great services for the city of Muskogee and for our communities.
The most recent is the Martin Luther King Center. The city is doing a better job to help the community because of your story. Thank you, sir, for all of your help and support.
