This country has fought two revolutionary wars, two civil wars (count them) and now we are in a battle for our souls. Our first civil war was about what the average citizen could do on his own land. It’s been called the Whiskey Rebellion. Not everyone liked George Washington.
Ross Perot said “it took six years to corrupt a beltway politician.” Wrong. Now they are corrupted on the night of the election. Washington, D.C. is now the richest city on the planet. It has no manufacturing base or service economy. Again, it’s bought and paid for politicians.
An international group of newspapers and reporters is putting out a list of offshore corruption that has the names of over 40,000 people. That’s OK. A local Republican once told me how proud he was that good ol’ Saint Ronny baby took in over $300 million dollars in bribes. I call him Ronny baby for his Hollywood moniker. I call him saint because a group of Southern Baptists want Rome to canonize him.
I am thinking about taking up the “lamp.” The lamp has been a symbol of the quest for knowledge for thousands of years. It would be a real slow trip, but I would like to round up a couple of thousand preachers, rabbis, witch doctors, exorcists, etc. and head for the beltway. We might not save the nation, but I want to see the bad guys heads start spinning.
