THE PEOPLE SPEAK — Move on, leave Zimmerman alone

Leave George Zimmerman alone! He has been tried and found innocent. The police were correct in not arresting him to begin with because they knew he was allowed to use self defense when he was attacked. The only reason he was brought to trial was pressure from the black community and now they want another bite at Zimmerman because they did not get a guilty verdict.

The FBI already investigated the race issue and found none. I cannot believe the government is wasting taxpayers’ money and getting involved in this case again! Brings to mind another case: OJ. How come no civil rights or race investigation there?

I hope Zimmerman gets a huge book deal and movie and makes a fortune. I hope he assigns any profits to family members like OJ did so any future litigation cannot touch his profits. By the way, the Martin parents received a large settlement from the apartment complex owners and have therefore profited from their son’s death but nobody mentions that!

I wish the best for Zimmerman and hope he can get on with his life. It’s over, move on.
