THE PEOPLE SPEAK - Vet earned right to speak out

— I just read H.R. Ford’s July 28 letter. Ford was criticizing George Kesselring for bashing Republicans. George was reporting about U.S. corporations whose offices were in the Cayman Islands in order to avoid paying taxes.

Ford said: “Stop already with bashing the Republicans and accept reality.” Really? Go ahead and accept it even if it is true?

I agree with George that we should speak up when there is injustice. George has earned his right to speak out.

He piloted several different B-17 Bombers over Europe for 35 missions during WWII and he knows what it is like to have his plane shot up. His missions definitely helped us win the war.

I wonder how many missions Ford flew?
