THANK YOU 06.28.14

ON BEHALF OF the Vote Yes Committee, I would like to thank the voting citizens of Muskogee for the passage of the two propositions and thus continuance of the sales tax levy.

With these actions – Coody Creek sewer systems will follow the mandates from the ODEQ and the many proposed projects can be realized.

The voting citizens have given clear direction to the City Council and Administration to move forward in making Muskogee better, stronger, and more viable in the near future.

I would also like to thank Lindsey Roberts who served as co-chair and the rest of our Vote Yes Committee who gave hours upon hours sharing the issue and highlights of the proposals. The Dream Team staff led by Derrick Reed, Dream Team Task Group and  the Dream Team children who share one vision for a new Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center.

Gratitude goes to our financial supporters — including my personal thank you for your contribution.

A personal note, I have more respect for individuals who run for any public office while holding a full time job — it’s grueling.  Thank you to my staff and board at NBN for picking up the work during this adventure.

In closing thank you to the 73.9 percent affirmative vote for Prop. 1 and 61.7 percent for Prop. 2 —  you have made your mark to change Muskogee.
