THE PEOPLE SPEAK - What happened to Habitat’s progress?

What has happened to Habitat for Humanity in Muskogee? The organization used to build houses for people in need of affordable homes in our town. There has not been a house started or completed in over two years.

Habitat for Humanity is a charitable, tax-free organization that receives funding from several sources. A major fund raiser is the Chocolate Festival in February. The citizens and businesses of Muskogee were asked to donate money, items for auction, and goods and services. What is happening to this money? What is it being used for? Certainly not the intended mission of the organization, which is building affordable homes for those in need.
