THANK YOU 06.08.13

IT TAKES a lot to bring big-ticket events to small towns like Muskogee, but when Mayor Bob Coburn and Treasure McKenzie put their minds to something, it happens.

On May 18th and 25th, an idea became a reality and Muskogee played host to the Midwest Extreme Dirt Track Regionals and Extreme Dirt Track ATV Nationals at Hatbox Field. This event was a huge success by any measure bringing 300 riders and over 1,800 pit crews and families to Hatbox Field during the two weekends. These folks came to our fair city from as far away as Washington state, New York, Florida and all points in between to race, lodge, eat and shop.

I would like to thank Mayor Bob Coburn, Treasure McKenzie with the Muskogee Chamber of Commerce, Aceco Rentals, A&B Distributors, United Rental, and Mark Wilkerson with Muskogee Parks and Recreation who helped bring this vision to a reality. These are the types of people and businesses who are willing to think outside the box and truly make Muskogee, OK grow.
