THE PEOPLE SPEAK — Vote on the issues, not politics of race

The fastest way to divide an electorate is to interject race into the hearts of voters. While cities around the country this month are celebrating Juneteenth, there remains a body of political aspirants who hope to enslave voters of all colors and creeds by dividing our votes along racial lines. The good news is that we are free to vote for what is right within the consciousness of our of character versus voting because of being black or white, or Republican or Democrat. Let me be very clear, that in the best interest of uniting our community around causes that are greater than ourselves as individuals, it is my personal preference and prerogative not to make any formal public endorsements of any candidates running for any country-wide office at this time. My top priority is that we cast a vote on Tuesday for children, for public safety, for senior citizens and for bringing the community together. I ran my campaign with the hope that as citizens we could unite around causes that could make us better, and it is with that same hope I urge you to vote this election cycle for candidates and issues because they are right and not because of the politics of race.
