THE PEOPLE SPEAK — Payne is the right person for the job

Although I have known the Payne family for many years, I only recently became personally acquainted with Kenny Payne. I had the privilege of sitting next to him on City Council for the past two years. I could not have found a better mentor to learn city business than Kenny. He patiently answered my questions and I eagerly sought him out for guidance.

Mr. Payne was an asset to City Council during the years he served our city and I was honored to serve with him. I sincerely believe he will be an excellent county commissioner. He puts his heart and soul into everything he endeavors to do. He works diligently, poring over details, and investigating all possibilities before making important decisions. He truly believes in Muskogee and Muskogee County and has given up countless hours of his personal time to make our city a better place to live and will certainly do the same with Muskogee County.

Kenny Payne is a true gentleman. He is passionate about his faith, living it daily through his interactions with others, the stances he took when voting for city legislation, and the interest he took in being fair to all citizens and looking out for their interests. He asks intelligent questions and consciously tries to view all sides of any issue. Kenny listened intently when others disagreed with him, thought and prayed about every situation, and voted from his heart faithfully.

Kenny has the expertise to orchestrate county business from years of working on City Council. He has empathy for all citizens to do what’s right because of the way he was raised. He has the compassion to look at all angles of any issue that he’s learned from working closely with others. He has the intelligence to delve into tough issues, get accurate information, and make the best decisions. Kenny Payne is my choice for county commissioner for District 3. Please vote June 24!
