RAA deserves to take a bow

Muskogee should be proud of the students, staff and administrators who helped the Rougher Alternative Academy earn status as a National School of Character.

RAA is the second school in the district to earn the recognition from the Character Education Partnership.

CEP recognizes schools and districts for their commitment to character education and for fostering a positive environment for social and academic learning.

“This district and this community can be very proud,” RAA Principal Larry Sholes said.

“This district commits resources to educate all students.”

We agree. Muskogee should be proud of the work being done on behalf of the students.

We should be especially proud of the students.

Students there are willing to accept and learn the life lessons that character education teaches them.

Every person involved in earning this distinction deserves to take a bow.

Never forget that the hard work being put in by staff and students will pay off in a better quality of life for the students.

That is the ultimate goal for all involved.
