THANK YOU 09.14.13

IT HAS been one year this month that my daughter, Linda Shackelford Brooks, passed away. I have not seen the memory book from the funeral home nor a list of condolences, so I have no idea who of my friends, relatives, or others sent condolences.

I am taking this opportunity to thank each and everyone who sent cards, flowers of visited the funeral home to show that you cared.

I especially want to thank Principal Chief Bill John Baker of the Cherokee Nation, former Chief Chad Smith, Councilman Don Gavin, and Adjudicator Troy Poteete for honoring her by being present at her service.

She loved her work and sincerely did what she did to better serve her people. She was only 1/32nd Cherokee by birth but a full blood by heart.

We all love and miss her dearly. It has been said that she is probably smiling happily and busy trying to improve heaven.

Love you dear, mom!

Barbara Allen (Shackelford)

I WOULD like to send out a special thank you to Mrs. Georgia Nero, Mr. and Mrs. Stevie Lyons, and Mr. and Mrs. Louie Ashley Jr. for putting the benefit dinner for Lisa Frye Ledbetter and making it a success.

I would also like to thank Mr. Derrick Reed for broadcasting it on the radio and the following churches: Four Mile Branch Baptist Missionary Church, Divine Love Christian Fellowship, Old Agency Baptist Church, First Missionary Baptist Church and Antioch Baptist.

Words cannot express the depth of gratitude for everyone who supported us during this time.

We love each and every one of you.

Lisa Frye Ledbetter family
