MARYLAND 85, TULSA (M) 74 – Dez Wells scored 18 points, Seth Allen added 15 in his season debut and Maryland overcame an early 15-point deficit to beat Tulsa 85-74 Sunday night.
James Woodard scored 25 for the Golden Hurricane (4-9). The 6-foot-3 sophomore has led Tulsa in points in seven of the last nine games.
OSU (W) 90, UT-PAN AMERICAN 48 – Liz Donohoe scored 21 points and gathered 16 rebounds to lead No. 11 Oklahoma State over Texas-Pan American on Sunday.
The Cowgirls (11-0) got 16 points from LaShawn Jones and 11 points and five assists from Tiffany Bias.
OU (W) 66, SAMFORD 35 – Morgan Hook scored 12 points and handed out five assists as No. 25 Oklahoma topped Samford on Sunday.
Oklahoma (9-4), which took a 36-20 advantage into the break, out-rebounded Samford 46-21 and shot 50 percent from the field and 47.6 percent from long range. The Sooners recorded 16 assists on 23 field goals.
Nicole Griffin added 12 points and Derica Wyatt added 11 in the win. Nicole Kornet led the Sooners with nine rebounds while Kaylon Williams added eight boards.
HARVARD 61, TULSA (W) 57 – Mariah Turner and Kelsee Grovey both scored in double figures, but it wasn’t enough as the Golden Hurricane dropped a decision to Harvard on Sunday afternoon in the Fordham Tournament at Rose Hill Gym in Bronx, N.Y.
Turner led TU (4-5) with 17 points and seven rebounds, while Kelsee Grovey also scored in double digits with 13. Grovey, Erika Lane and Ashley Clark all had four assists, while Lane and Clark each had three steals.
Tulsa will take on N.C.-Greensboro at noon today in the third-place game.
NEBRASKA 89, ORAL ROBERTS (W) 53 – Jordan Hooper scored 30 points as No. 18 Nebraska returned from Christmas break and pummeled Oral Roberts on Sunday.
Christian Key and Kaylan Mayberry scored nearly all of the Golden Eagles (1-9) points with 25 and 20, respectively. Former Muskogee Lady Rougher Alexus Wilson finished with six points for ORU in 24 minutes of action.
