CONNORS 8, EASTERN 0 – Connors State’s Kelvin Rivas threw a four-hitter en route to a victory over Eastern Oklahoma State on Sunday in Warner. Rivas (5-2) struck out seven and walked two in getting the win for the Cowboys (39-5, 10-2 OCAC).

LSU-SHREVEPORT 6, BACONE 5 – The Bacone Warriors scored five runs in the bottom of the ninth but fell one run short in the loss on Sunday to LSU-Shreveport. Wade Morton and Jean Ortiz both went 2-for-3 for the Warriors (34-14, 20-6 Red River) while Matt Durbin (4-1) suffered his first loss of the season.

NSU 8, KEARNEY 6 – Northeastern State defeated Nebraska Kearney on Sunday in Tahlequah to take the series over the Lopers. David Weber led the RiverHawks (25-19, 23-18 MIAA) at the plate with a 3-for-5 performance with four runs batted in while Frank Sprick (3-4) threw 1 1/3 innings of relief and earned the win.

OU 14, NEW ORLEANS 3 – Ethan Carnes allowed a three-run first inning, but rebounded for a seven-inning complete game in Oklahoma’s run-rule victory over New Orleans in Norman. Carnes (2-1) made just his second start of the season allowed just two hits and struck out five of his final 20 batters faced.

ARKANSAS 2, TEXAS A&M 1 – Randall Fant struck out a career-high eight batters and allowed one run in six innings to lead Arkansas to a series-clinching win on Sunday in Fayetteville, Ark. The Razorbacks improve to 27-15 overall and 11-7 in the Southeastern Conference.

KANSAS STATE 3, OSU 2 – Oklahoma State could not complete its first Big 12 Conference series sweep of the season Sunday as Kansas State defeated the Cowboys in Stillwater. OSU (27-11, 7-7 Big 12) managed just six hits in the contest, two of those by Robbie Rea, while Tyler Nurdin (0-2) suffered the loss on the mound.

SAM HOUSTON STATE 6, ORU 4 – Oral Roberts chance for a series sweep fell short as the Golden Eagles loss to Sam Houston State. The Golden Eagles drop to 13-24 on the season and 8-7 in conference play.


CONNORS 8-8, COFFEYVILLE 0-0 – Connors State pounded out 24 base hits in sweeping a doubleheader from Coffeyville Community College on Sunday. Jessica Christian, who threw a 2-hitter in the first game and Amanda O’Neal, a 4-hitter in the nightcap,  each picked up wins inside the circle as the Cowgirls improved to 23-28

OU 5, TEXAS 3 – Oklahoma took control of its own destiny in the Big 12 title race with victory at Texas on Sunday. Keilani Ricketts (22-1) got the win for the Sooners (39-3, 8-1 Big 12) while Michelle Gascoigne earned her second save of the year.

OSU 3, KANSAS 1 – Oklahoma State won the series with Kansas, defeating the Jayhawks in Stillwater on Sunday. Kat Espinosa (15-14) threw a complete game and picked up the win for the Cowgirls (26-21, 4-8 Big 12).

TULSA 2, HOUSTON 0 – Jill Barrett scored twice and Aimee Creger struck out eight in a complete-game performance as Tulsa (33-13-1, 13-5 (C-USA) defeated Houston on Sunday in Houston, Texas.

KENTUCKY 5, ARKANSAS 3 – Arkansas fell to Kentucky Wildcats on Sunday at Fayetteville, Ark. Arkansas (30-17, 8-10) was led by Jennifer Rambo who finished her with a hit in game three and her third RBI in as many days, going 3-for-4 in the series .
