OSU freshman guard arrested on marijuana complaint

EDMOND  — Authorities say Oklahoma State basketball player Stevie Clark was arrested on New Year’s Day on suspicion of possessing marijuana.

Clark, a backup point guard, is averaging 7 points per game for the No. 6 Cowboys. Edmond police spokeswoman Jennifer Monroe says Clark was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over Wednesday morning for a seatbelt violation.

Authorities say police discovered marijuana in the vehicle and arrested Clark and the driver on possession of marijuana complaints.

Clark, a freshman, has played nine games this season for Oklahoma State. The Cowboys didn’t immediately comment on Clark’s arrest.

Oklahoma State opens conference play Saturday at Kansas State.
