BACONE 1, TABOR 0 — At Bacone, Edwin Torres’ single in the eighth scored John Burns with the only run of the game. Tim Hill (3-0) allowed three hits and struck out nine. The Warriors (9-4) had to cancel its series with St. Mary’s due to impending weather.

C. MISSOURI 8, NSU 5 — The RiverHawks (4-8, 1-6 MIAA) mustered just two hits in the first six frames before knotting the game with five in the seventh, but couldn’t get the lead against th eMules  David Weber’s single capped the rally to tie. NSU was outhit 16-7 as the top four batters for the Mules (8-6, 5-2) combined for 11 hits and seven RBIs.

CONNORS  SWEEPS — Second-ranked Connors (12-2) swept Ellsworth in Warner on Friday. Josh Hammill (3-0) pitched his second no-hitter, striking out eight while walking one in a 4-1 win in the opener. The one player he walked was picked off base and the second runner to reach advanced to third base when the Cowboys misplayed a run-down play. He then scored on a ground ball for Ellsworth only run.

Connors’ offense did the heavy lifting in a 14-1 win in game tow. Landon Bradley (3-0) allowed just three hits but Christian Perez, Tyson Tackett and Jarrard Poteete had two hits and two RBIs each, shadowed only by Yariel Gonzalez’s three hits.

OU 8, SANTA CLARA 4 – After allowing a run in the first, Adam Choplick locked in and delivered a six-strikeout performance in a win for the University of Oklahoma baseball team over Santa Clara on Friday as the Sooners improved to 7-3 on the year.

OSU 10, MANHATTAN 7 – Oklahoma State erased a six-run deficit Friday against Manhattan as the Cowboys (10-1) picked up a win on the second day of the Sanderson Ford College Baseball Classic.
