OSU, OU RAINED OUT — Oklahoma-Arizona State and Oklahoma State-Santa Clara were both rained out in Surprise, Ariz.  Oklahoma will take on Gonzaga at noon today. Oklahoma State will play Arizona State at 5:30 today.

NSU 4, CENTRAL MISSOURI 3 — Designated hitter Cayle Shambaugh capped the game with a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 11th after Central Missouri tied the game in the ninth. The RiverHawks (5-8, 2-6 MIAA) earned a split with the preseason conference favorites (8-7, 5-3). Bryan McClellan (1-1) threw 2 1/3 hitless innings of relief for his first win as a RiverHawk. He struck out four. NSU had six hits, no one having more than one.

ARKANSAS SWEPT —  The Razorbacks lost their first two after starting 7-0, falling 2-1 and 5-3 to South Alabama in Fayetteville, Ark.. Joe Serrano, Krisjon Wilkerson and Brett McAfee each recorded three hits between the two games.

CONNORS SPLITS — The Cowboys (13-3) lost the first game 8-1 and bounced back to gain a split of the doubleheader in Warner with Ellsworth (Iowa), 8-3, taking three of the four games played this weekend.

The Cowboys spotted Ellsworth a 7-0 lead in two innings, chasing Victor Vazquez (1-1) after recording just two outs. In the win, Yariel Gonzalez’s solo home run highlighted a two-hit game and Hilldale ex Jarrard Poteete had three hits and three RBIs.
