OKLAHOMA 6, TEXAS 1 — Destinee Martinez, Callie Parsons and Brianna Turang combined to go 7 for 9 at the plate in the 7-9 spots in the order and helped the Sooners (38-2, 7-0 Big 12)) over the Longhorns (38-5, 8-1) in Austin in the first game of a critical weekend series. At the top of the lineup, Lauren Chamberlain was 0 for 5 and Shelby Pendley was 0 for 3. OU pitcher Keilani Ricketts struck out 15 to move to 21-1.

OKLAHOMA STATE 3, KANSAS 1 — Playing at Stillwater, OSU (25-20, 3-7 Big 12) had just four hits, but two were home runs by Tarah Ettinger and Amy Graham. Senior Kat Espinosa (14-13) started in the circle and threw a complete game, giving up the lone run on six hits while striking out four. Kansas fell to 26-12 and 3-4.

TRUMAN STATE 11-0, NSU 8-9 — Kayce Woodridge’s one-hit shutout helped NSU (22-20, 12-8 MIAA) to a split against Truman (22-14, 10-10) in Kirksville, Mo., on Friday. Amanda Harjo was 3-for-4 with five RBIs, Muskogee grad Madison Reed was 2-for-2 with two RBI and two runs scored. Navada Campos hit her team-leading 10th home run of the season in a 2-for-2 day.

In the opener,  Harjo led NSU with four RBIs and went 2-for-4 at the plate, while Reed was 3-for-4.

ARKANSAS 4, KENTUCKY 1 – Arkansas pitcher Kimmy Beasley struck out 11 batters to lead the Razorbacks (29-16, 7-9 SEC) to a win over Kentucky (33-13, 9-5 SEC).
