OSU’s Cobbins out for the year

STILLWATER — Oklahoma State basketball coach Travis Ford says forward Michael Cobbins is out for the year with a ruptured Achilles tendon.

Ford said in a statement Tuesday that Cobbins will have surgery on Thursday for the injury he suffered during OSU’s game Monday against Robert Morris.

The No. 6 ranked Cowboys are preparing for their Big 12 Conference opener on Saturday against Kansas State in Manhattan, Kan.

OSU is 12-1 on the season while K-State is 10-3.
